We are seeking a DEI Manager to join our team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing and developing robust equality impact assessment (EIA) processes, ensuring that our activities and interventions are designed to meet the diverse needs of all staff and the communities we serve.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage daily submissions of Equality Impact Assessments (EIAs), ensuring compliance with the Public Sector Equality Duty in the UK.
  • Deliver training on EIA to internal stakeholders to help continuously improve the culture of our organisation.
  • Use strong organisational skills to manage and prioritise workloads.
  • Identify, analyse, address and/or escalate risks and issues as appropriate.
  • Design and deliver EIA interventions, including training, to develop the capability of staff and contribute to our organisational goals around cultural change.
  • Build partnerships with staff and other key stakeholders across the organisation to improve their capability and confidence in the EIA space and embed inclusion in everything we do.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to effectively engage with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Experienced, adaptable, proactive, and detail-oriented individual.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications such as MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and internet browsing.
  • Experience in managing Equality Impact Assessments and ensuring compliance with relevant duties and legislation.
