Are you a qualified and experienced English teacher passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with physical disabilities, complex medical needs, and associated learning difficulties? Our specialized SEN school is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team. If you have the skills and compassion to teach Secondary age and post-16 pupils across two learning pathways, and to support with English (including literacy and phonics) across the whole school, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Secondary age and post-16 pupils across two learning pathways.
- Support the teaching and planning of English, including literacy and phonics, across the whole school.
- Develop and implement engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to enhance the educational experience for all students.
- Monitor and assess student progress and provide feedback.
Requirements:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) is desired but open to other relevant qualifications.
- Proven experience teaching English to students with special educational needs (SEN).
- Strong understanding of literacy and phonics instruction.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A genuine passion for supporting and inspiring students with SEN.
