We are currently recruiting for a Gardener/Grounds person to work for one of our NHS clients in Bradford, BD9 6DP
This is a band 2 position paying £11.44per hour
Working Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm
Job Details:
- To work as part of a team to ensure that the Trusts grounds, gardens, trees,roads and pathways are maintained in a safe and visually pleasing conditionatalltimes,ensuringanefficientandeffectiveservicesisdelivered
- Initially for a 6-month period, with the possibility of extension for the right candidates starting ASAP.
Full Driving License is required for this post
Main Duties:
- Assist the Team Leader in the maintenance of grounds and gardenswithintheTrustspropertiesandSLAsites
- Be competent in the use of hand tools to carry out routine gardening duties
- Maintain all grassed and planted areas in accordance with theMaintenanceSchedule
- Maintain all roadways and hard standings, weed and remove allrubbishatrequiredfrequencies
- Assistinsnowclearing dutiesincludingreplenishingofgritbins
- Carryoutgritting ofroadwaysand paths
- Carry out routine maintenance on all garden machinery whereappropriate with the correct training and in accordance with themanufacturer'sinstructions
- Providehorticulturaladviceregardingplantinganddesign
- Carryoutminortreesurgeryexcludingchainsawwork
- If required drive the Trusts 4 wheel drive vehicle with trailer, due to inclement weather this may be, on occasion, in hazardous drivingconditions

This role will require a DBS check prior to employment.
