Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages MFL

Accelerate Teaching is delighted to support a thriving secondary school in Wakefield in their search for a passionate and experienced Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL). This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic individual to inspire students, helping them to explore new cultures and languages.

As a Teacher of MFL, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching either French, Spanish, or German (or a combination of these), and be committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

You will be joining a forward-thinking department with a strong emphasis on collaboration, where you will be encouraged to contribute fresh ideas and innovative teaching approaches. The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for language learning and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Assess, record, and report on students' progress and development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop resources and strategies for improved learning outcomes
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting respect for different cultures
  • Support students in their linguistic journey, inspiring confidence and a love for languages

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Proven experience teaching MFL at secondary school level
  • Strong subject knowledge in at least one of the following languages: French, Spanish, or German
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A passion for teaching and the ability to engage and motivate students
