Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker - New Children's residential home
Location: Coventry
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 per annum (inclusive of 2 sleeps)
Shift Pattern: 1 on 2 off (rolling rota)
Contract: Full-time, permanent
About the role:
Liquid Personnel have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join an incredible provider of children's residential homes. Ofsted rated good. You will be joining a brand-new home for children and young people, registered for up to 4 young people from 13-17 years old with a backgrounds of emotional behaviour difficulties, child sexual exploitation and child criminal exploitation.
Your key responsibilities as the Senior Residential Support Worker:
- Shift Leadership: As part of a rota, you'll operate as a shift leader, collaborating with social workers, residential staff, and other practitioners to provide practical and emotional support. The focus is on promoting collaboration and a shared vision in supporting the child.
- Restorative Approach: You'll meet the needs of children and young people using a restorative approach, building strong relationships to support their decision-making and active engagement.
- Partnerships and Interventions: Developing and maintaining strong partnerships with other services, the community, and agencies is crucial. You'll also deliver specialist interventions and programs.
- Team Management: You may be responsible for managing aspects of the team and service, including coordinating schedules and assisting the Registered/Deputy Manager.
- Multi-Agency Collaboration: Working as part of a multi-agency team, you'll assist in formulating assessments, placement plans, care plans, and pathway plans for each child or young person.
- Key Worker Role: You'll act as a key worker for a child, serving as a positive role model in various contexts.
- Leisure Activities: Organizing and participating in stimulating activities for young people during their leisure time, including holiday breaks away from the Children's Home.
Must have:
- A Level 3 or 4 qualification in Residential Childcare.
- Good knowledge of Children's Homes regulations (2015) and quality standards.
- At least 2 years' experience within children's residential homes.
- A Full UK driving license.
