Fairhvie is a non-profit affordable housing provider with ambition. We already provide affordable housing to more than 20,000 people in our community but we want to do more. That's why we are striving to provide 1,000 additional homes by 2025.
Our trades team play a vital role in the provision of our services from repairing and maintaining existing housing stock to managing environmental improvements to provide more families in our community with a home.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Multi skilled operative to join our team and to help us achieve our social mission.
On the Job you will:
- Carry out day to day repairs
- Carry out inspections
- Be able to carry out multi-trade tasks
- Work closely with a team of planners
- Participate in an out of hours rota
About You
We're looking for someone who understands how important it is to have a safe place we can call home and who is motivated to support the local community.
For this role you will need:
- Experience in social housing maintenance
- Carry out multi-trade tasks to a good standard
- Hold a valid drivers licence
You will ideally have skills and attributes that include:
- good communication skills,
- the ability to work as a part of a multi-disciplined team,
- good time management skills
- practical problem solving skills
