We are now looking for an Office Administrator to join us on a full-time, permanent basis. We will consider part-time hours or job shares for this role and salary will be pro rated depending on hours worked.

The Role

As an Office Administrator, you will provide high-quality administrative support to the Hemel Hempstead Crematorium.

Ensuring the smooth operation of services and maintaining the highest standards of customer care, you will manage correspondence, prepare reports and support the development of efficient office systems.

You will also prepare and send correspondence, advise the public on cremation procedures and commemoration options and update the cremation database.

Additionally, you will also assist with chapel duties, including preparing for funeral services, checking music and webcasting requirements and supporting clergy and officiants with procedures.

Your role will also involve:

- Ensuring the confidentiality of client information at all times
- Handling telephone, reception and other inquiries constructively
- Supporting the preparation and execution of the Annual Open Air Service of Remembrance

About You

To be considered as an Office Administrator, you will need:

- General office experience in an administrative role
- Experience dealing with the bereaved or working in an equivalent sensitive and caring environment
- Knowledge of and the ability to process invoices and payments
- Excellent administration skills
