Collaborate on delivering precise estimates, managing contracts, and ensuring the smooth operation of projects under the guidance of the Senior Estimator and Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnering with the Senior Estimator to fulfill their duties effectively.
- Crafting accurate pricing for new tenders, primarily using a Schedule of Works.
- Handling the entire process of subcontractor tendering, from preparation to analysis.
- Conducting site inspections, capturing measurements, and imagery.
- Supporting the Senior Estimator on sizable projects by organizing works and managing subcontractor inquiries.
- Overseeing smaller tenders from inception to submission, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Keeping track of tender schedules and subcontractor inquiries, following up as needed.
- Communicating with Contract Administrators and subcontractors to maintain smooth operations.
- Developing work programs and necessary preliminaries.
Skills / Experience / Qualifications:
- Self-motivated with strong time management skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high levels of productivity.
- Proficient in numerical analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Organized and efficient with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A team player with exceptional interpersonal skills, maintaining composure and focus.
- Strong client relationship-building skills.
- Familiarity with market rates across various disciplines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft and Google suites, particularly Excel.
- At least 1 year of experience in construction or refurbishment.
- Construction or commercial qualifications preferred, though not mandatory.
