Part Time 30 Hours week (over 4 days), Up to £40,000 FTE, Windermere/Kendal/Hybrid WHF

Foxgroves Recruitment have partnered exclusively with Lakeland Arts in the Lake District to help them find their next HR & People Manager. We are looking for someone to join this unique and culturally significant institution based in the Lake District.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer this role is offered on a part time basis at 30 hours a week with a full time salary equiv of up to £40,000. The role is a hybrid role based across 4 Lakeland Arts sites in Bowness on Windermere and Kendal. The role will be carried out 4 days a week with the option to work from home 1 day a week and at one of the Kendal or Windermere sites the remaining 3 days.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all core HR functions, including payroll, employee relations, admin, learning, and development.
  • Oversee recruitment processes, supporting job descriptions, adverts, and induction strategies.
  • Develop and update HR policies, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and legal requirements.
  • Support change management processes and attend leadership team meetings.
  • Manage complex employee relations cases, including dispute resolution and disciplinary procedures.
  • Collaborate with line managers on performance management and objective setting.
  • Provide leadership in talent attraction, retention, and development initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate payroll processing and manage employee data effectively.
  • Coordinate training programmes and promote employee and volunteer engagement.

This post is part-time, working 30 hours over 4 days.

Candidates must demonstrate that they can fulfil the requirements of the post.

The annual leave entitlement for this post is 33 working days (made up of 20 statutory days, eight public bank holidays, and 5 contractual days) per annum, pro rata for part-time roles.
