We are currently recruiting for a driven Accounts Assistant to the Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger processes for 2 entities within the business. This role sits within a small Finance team and is pivotal in enabling the business to operate effectively! The team are close knit and friendly, they're hoping for a candidate that wants to learn and grow with them!
Day-to-day of the role:
- Collaborate with the senior management and budget holders to ensure smooth running of processes and monitor budgets
- Maintain Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger for 2 entities of the business
- Oversee bank accounts, manage invoicing, collections and maintain clear financial records
- Prepare for financial audits whenever necessary
- Administer payroll systems and petty cash processes
- Assist in the preparation of income and complete bank reconciliations
- Provide administrative support to Senior Management when necessary
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Transactional Accounting position would be ideal, so that the candidate can hit the ground running within the role!
- A keen eye for detail is a must in order to accurately process transactions
- Strong numeracy skills and the ability to maintain accurate financial records is essential
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and financial/accounting software, such as Sage, would be ideal
- The successful candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
