As they continue to expand, they are seeking a talented and ambitious Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified individual from practice.
The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in their finance team, providing comprehensive support across various financial functions. This position will be incredibly broad, encompassing financial reporting, management accounts, working on business critical projects, supporting tax work and conducting ad hoc financial analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information is available to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
- Management Accounts: Produce monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary to provide insights into business performance.
- Project work: Key contact for business critical projects.
- Tax Support: Assist with tax compliance and reporting, including VAT, corporation tax, and other relevant filings.
- Ad Hoc Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis as required to support various business initiatives and projects.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to gather necessary financial information and provide financial insights to support business decisions.
