We are seeking a diligent Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our friendly finance team in the picturesque town of Sandwich. This is a 12-month contract to cover maternity leave, offering the chance to work within a supportive environment in our lovely offices.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Processing purchase invoices and credit notes accurately and efficiently.
  • Reconciling supplier statements to ledger accounts and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Preparing payment runs and ensuring suppliers are paid in a timely manner.
  • Handling queries from suppliers and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
  • Collaborating with the finance team to improve processes and controls within the purchase ledger function.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a purchase ledger role or similar.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software Sage 200 and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
