Elevation Recruitment Group is recruiting on behalf of a Sheffield-based aerospace company seeking a skilled CNC Miller to join their team.
Location: Sheffield
Shift: Mornings, Afternoons & Nights
Salary: Up to £40k
Key Responsibilities:
- Set and operate multiple multi-axis CNC milling machines to manufacture aerospace components.
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings.
- Use a variety of measuring equipment to ensure product conformity.
- Work with a range of materials, ensuring fine tolerances are met.
- Maintain a safe, organised, and clean working environment.
- Inspect completed parts using manual gauges and other inspection tools.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and adhere to routine work standards to meet production goals.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in CNC Milling.
- Apprentice-trained or extensive time-served experience.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience working towards and achieving production targets.
- Proficiency with measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Familiarity with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, and Mazatrol.
- Ability to work to close tolerances.
- Basic understanding of Lean principles, including 5S.
- Previous experience in the aerospace industry is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail.
