Salary: £30,000 per annum + uncapped commission

The Role:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Executive to join a rapidly growing family-run SME in the construction sector. This role is ideal for an experienced professional eager to make an impact by engaging both prospective and existing customers.

As a Business Development Executive, you will focus on outbound calls, engaging with contacts from their extensive database, reaching out to new prospects from lead packs, and nurturing relationships with existing clients. Your primary objective will be to secure face-to-face appointments with key decision-makers in the construction industry, while also generating enquiries for the company's comprehensive range of products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively reach out to prospects to promote the company's offerings.
  • Qualify and follow up on leads from the CRM system.
  • Deliver compelling sales pitches, explaining products and services effectively.
  • Gather and verify customer information.
  • Address product-related queries with confidence.
  • Schedule customer visits and trial dates.
  • Maintain and manage the CRM database efficiently.
  • Support the sales team by following up on leads.

Requirements

Skills & Experience:

  • Positive, engaging, and confident in telephone communication.
  • Proven experience in business development, telemarketing, or telesales.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Experience in using social media for business purposes (desirable).
  • Confident in speaking to a variety of decision-makers.
  • Team player with strong customer focus and attention to detail.
  • Proactive and consultative approach on the phone.
  • Clear speaking voice and professional appearance.
  • Capable of making at least 60 outbound calls daily.
  • GCSE Level in English and Mathematics.
  • IT literate, with proficiency in Outlook and Excel.
