  • Shift Patterns: Morning: 06:30 - 11:30, Evening: 15:30 - 21:30

Reed is representing a highly reputable entertainment attraction, currently seeking a Lead Chef to contribute to guest satisfaction by preparing high-quality food dishes in line with our company standards. This role is crucial for maximising guest satisfaction and profitability, ensuring an outstanding dining experience.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Develop and implement menu plans and daily preparations to company specifications.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared to the approved standard of presentation and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Understand menu requirements and plan operational needs accordingly.
  • Manage food wastage effectively, ensuring proper portion control and cost-effective practices.
  • Maintain excellent food hygiene throughout the food chain, from storage to service.
  • Place food orders, build relationships with suppliers, and negotiate to achieve the best prices and maximise gross profit.
  • Ensure HACCP compliance within the kitchen and all Food & Beverage outlets.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for team members, adhering to company policies and H&S regulations.
  • Foster effective communication and a friendly working environment among staff.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Catering.
  • Level 1 and 2 Food Safety Awards.
  • Minimum 1 year's relevant experience in a kitchen environment.
  • Experience managing/supervising a small team.
  • A proactive ‘can-do' attitude to meet individual and team objectives.
  • Creative ability to assist in menu creation and dish development.
  • Professional and friendly approach with excellent supervisory skills.

Desirable:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Catering.
  • Level 3 in Food Safety.
  • First Aid certificate.
  • Experience in a high volume outlet.
  • Experience training junior team members.
