Sales Executive Opportunity in the Aerospace and Defence Industry

Role: Sales Executive

Salary: £35,000 - £37,000

Location: Uxbridge

Working Hours: Mon - Thu 9AM-5PM | Fri - 9AM-4PM

Are you passionate about sales and building lasting client relationships? Do you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment? We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Executive to join our client, a leading company in the aerospace and defence industry.

Job Summary:

This mainly office-based sales position reports to the General Manager and works within the sales team to review client enquiries, provide quotations, and manage client orders. The role focuses on building and maintaining relationships with clients, promoting and expanding accounts in line with the sales budget, and generating new leads.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement:

  • Proactively follow up with clients, make promotional calls, and conduct visits as per the schedule to ensure high client satisfaction.
  • Address client inquiries, negotiate prices and terms, and coordinate with internal teams to deliver technical guidance and solutions.
  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships through regular service calls and visits. Stay updated on client projects and future needs.

Sales Management:

  • Monitor client profitability and ensure sales performance meets targets. Provide timely and competitive quotations.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure efficient processing and timely delivery of client orders.

New Business Development:

  • Identify and engage potential clients to explore new business opportunities.

Event Participation:

  • Support and attend trade shows and exhibitions as required.

What We're Looking For:

Experience:

  • Proven experience in account management and sales negotiations.
  • Background in a commercial environment, with experience in the aerospace sector being a distinct advantage.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently manage tasks under pressure.

Education:

  • Minimum of GCSE level education or equivalent in Maths and English.
