Our dynamic client, a thriving homewares brand, is seeking an experience Senior Buyer to join their fast-paced and energetic team. This role is ideal for an ambitious individual looking to make a significant impact in a growing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse consumer buying patterns and predict future trends in home goods
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, particularly with partners in China and India
- Implement and manage end-to-end best practices including QA, sourcing, supply chain, and warehousing
- Attend trade shows and visit factories as required
- Work with Assistant buyer and buyer
- Lead product development meetings and facilitate design selection for ranges
- Develop range costing sheets and engage in range building
- Collaborate with Product Development and Marketing teams
- Prepare and analyse annual budgets
- Manage pricing and overall promotion of multiple product categories
- Optimize sales through close collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Ensure comprehensive understanding of market performance
- Continuously assess consumer, customer, supplier, and competitor landscapes
Experience
- Experience in strategic sourcing and supplier selection
- Homewares/ Fashion background
- Knowledge of dealing with grocers preferred
- Proven track record in a fast-paced, ambitious environment
- Strong analytical skills for consumer trend prediction and budget management
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for building supplier relationships
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
