Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum (based on qualifications and experience)

Academics is thrilled to offer a permanent caretaker position at a wonderful school in Richmond.
As the caretaker, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of the school, unlocking the grounds, and disarming alarms as per the rota. Your daily tasks will include conducting visual checks of the property, inspecting all relevant areas, and ensuring that all service areas (heating, lighting, water) are functioning properly. You will also manage the stock of consumable items, perform first-line maintenance on fixtures and fittings, and address reported maintenance issues, such as cleaning spills and repairing door handles. Additional responsibilities include plumbing tasks (clearing blockages and drains), painting and decorating as needed, completing planned preventative maintenance, maintaining neat and tidy outdoor areas, and ensuring safe access to the school, especially during adverse weather conditions (e.g., snow clearing and gritting).

The ideal caretaker will possess some or all of the following qualifications and skills:
- Previous caretaking or maintenance experience

- Please note: The role will require working approximately 1 in 4 Saturdays as part of a rota.*
