As a Senior Authorised Person you will make sure everything is done safely and everybody goes home at the end of the day.
You will:
Prepare switching programmes, including system alteration forms.
safety document issue to construction teams for work on HV networks.
The ability to undertake spiking of HV cables and pressure testing of new/modified plant before energisation.
Ensuring safety from the system
Commissioning and operation of electrical plant and equipment on all types of apparatus within an electricity substation
You will be:
Must hold IDNO/DNO Authorisation at 132kV
HNC in a relevant electrical or engineering discipline or demonstrable practical experience
Possess a thorough understanding of working under a DNO's control and experience of switching systems, procedures and processes, including outages
Must be able to demonstrate a wide range of knowledge and experience with various overhead line, underground cabling and substation components / equipment / systems, including switchgear, transformers and high voltage cabling
Possess a good knowledge of National Model Distribution Safety Rules and their interpretation
Full UK driving licence
It would suit an Approved Person, Project Manager with SAP tickets, Project Engineer with SAP tickets
