An opportunity is available for a Quality Engineer to join a successful manufacturing company located in the Borough of Pendle. The successful candidate will be involved in developing and implementing quality standards and procedures to ensure optimal performance and output.

Description

  • Work closely under the direction of the Quality Manager.
  • Communicate quality issues with customers and suppliers.
  • Prepare First article inspection reports.
  • Lead/support RCCA activities and the NCR process dealing with non-conforming products while implementing robust corrective actions.
  • Generate, implement, and maintain procedures, processes, work instructions and SOPs.
  • Review and manage customer specifications.
  • Manage the calibration system.
  • Conduct Internal audits to schedule.
  • Support customer and regulatory audits.
  • Support the reporting of KPIs.

Profile

A successful Quality Engineer should have:

  • AS9100 Internal auditor certification.
  • Previous experience as Quality engineer in the aerospace industry or similar
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 QMS requirements.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance practices and methods in the industrial / manufacturing sector.
  • Proficiency in the use of quality inspection and auditing tools.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • IT Literate.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
