Maintenance Technician

A fast-growing, innovative company based on the outskirts of Stratford-upon-Avon is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join the team. Along with a basic salary of £42,000 per annum, you will also receive overtime opportunities, a bonus, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays and a pension scheme (8% employer, 2% employee).

You will ensure targets are achieved in a safe and efficient manner and in compliance with company and regulatory standards (Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety) and industry accreditations (BRC and FEMAS).

You will be working in an agricultural environment, with exposure to wheat, grain dust and other allergens.

Please note: This role is in a rural location, without access to public transport. Your own transport is required.

As Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring all routine PPM tasks are completed on time, safely and to the site food and feed safety standards.
  • Assisting production with equipment breakdown both during normal day shift and whilst on-call.
  • Working with management to further develop, optimise and improve site maintenance regime.
  • Assisting, where required, with the installation of new process equipment and modifications.
  • Complying with all the Health and Safety responsibilities.
  • Responding efficiently and pro-actively to plant breakdowns.
  • Ensuring that company procedures and methods are adhered to.
  • Ensuring that quality, food and feed safety standards are maintained in accordance with relevant company procedures and documentation is accurately completed, and non-conformities reported.
  • Ensuring workshops and spares warehouse areas are kept clean and tidy.
  • Working with the rest of the site team highlighting opportunities for operational and business improvements.
  • Ensuring that all completed corrective and preventative maintenance is recorded and kept up to date in MAXIMO.
  • Submitting Safety Issue Reports.

We're looking for a Maintenance Technician with:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Predictive, Preventive and Corrective maintenance.
  • Extensive operational experience working in maintenance in a processing and/or Manufacturing environment.
  • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering education from City and Guilds, Higher National Certificate level or equivalent and above.
  • Ability to work within a team and on own initiative.
  • Ability to work to tight timescales.
  • Ability to perform in a challenging industrial environment.
  • Physically healthy and capable of working in a production site environment involving stairs, rung ladders and some high-level work areas.
  • "Safe by Nature" and demonstrated low/free accident work history.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK without restriction.

You will be working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
