Job Advertisement: Chef Assistant - Care Home (Maidstone)
I am looking for a dedicated Chef Assistant to join our clients friendly team at their care home in Maidstone. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience in care home catering who is passionate about preparing nutritious meals for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the chef in preparing, cooking, and serving meals in line with dietary requirements.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness and food safety are maintained in the kitchen.
- Help with menu planning and food storage management.
- Support the kitchen team in delivering a varied and wholesome menu.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a care home catering environment is essential.
- Catering qualifications are preferred but not mandatory.
- A strong understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations.
Contract Details:
- 30 hours per week with shifts from 7am - 4pm.
- Some weekend working may be required on a rotational basis.
- Rate of pay: £12.83 per hour, negotiable during the interview process.
