Client Details

Michael Page Logistics have partnered with a leading distribution business in Cambridge in search for a proactive and experienced Warehouse Operator to join their well established team. The Warehouse Operator will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of their warehouse, coordinating with the team internally and timely handling of goods. This position involves working on a weekly rotating shift pattern of 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and 10pm - 6am.

Description

The Warehouse Operator will be responsible for the below:

  • Coordinate with the internal warehouse and production team to achieve operational objectives.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety protocols in the warehouse.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline warehouse processes.
  • Utilise warehouse management systems to track and manage inventory.

Profile

The Warehouse Operator will have the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse role within distribution or logistics industry
  • Proficient understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Flexibility to work on a 3 weekly rotating shift pattern.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management software and systems like SAP
  • able to commute to Cambridge site
