Agricultural Loss Adjuster

My client, a leading Global Claims Management company, are seeking to hire an Agricultural Loss Adjuster to their existing field-based UK team. In this role the Adjuster will receive, visit, assess and manage through to completion a portfolio of insurance claims from leading UK and International rural and agricultural sector insurers

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong external adjusting background and an understanding of and passion for rural/agricultural industries, communities and lifestyles

This is a field based position with regular travel required; primarily covering the Hertfordshire / Buckinghamshire area.

Key Responsibilities

  • To proactively manage a mixed portfolio of agricultural claims from cradle to grave
  • To undertake a comprehensive investigation to establish cause of damage /extent of loss and cover, setting a strategy with the customer for case conclusion understanding each individual demand and likely outcomes.
  • To work in tandem with the internal team to understand and prioritise what matters to the customer – ensure quality visit takes place by undertaking value add preparation.
  • To continually review claim activity to identify potential blockages and reduce failure demand.
  • To take sole responsibility for every claim personally handled and enhance customer journey by ensuring all parties are kept informed and work collaboratively with key stakeholders to build on end to end flow.
  • To build strong relations with colleagues, brokers, agents and suppliers to ensure seamless claims handling service.
  • To be the customer facing representative of the company upholding their ethics and values

General Background, Experience & Professional Qualifications

  • Proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Loss adjusting background – experience of handling large caseload and losses up to and in excess of £100K
  • Ideally possess Insurance qualification (ACII or ACILA) but essential to show commitment to study and gain knowledge
