About the role:
- A new opportunity has arisen for Cook / Chef to work in the kitchen at our client's 30 bed family care home.
- You will be required to work 36-40 hours per week and alternative weekends.
- You will play a vital role that extends beyond simply preparing meals.
- The main function requires you to ensure that the meals are nutritious and well-balanced, providing adequate nutrition to residents in a care home setting.
- You will manage the catering services within the home, maintaining a high standard of food provision and service.
- In essence, as a care home Cook / Chef, you will be required to bring the pleasure of dining to the residents.
About You:
- The right to live and work in the UK.
- Educated to NVQ 2 in Cooking or equivalent and have a food hygiene certificate. You will have experience of catering management in a care home or similar environment.
- You will be an effective communicator and have experience of realistic management of inventory, stock rotation, and ordering.
- Previous experience of maintaining standards within Catering Department according to Health and Safety and Food Safety Act are essential.
