A review of organisational structures has recently been completed with a focus on prioritising the delivery of high quality, customer focused services, which will deliver for the Borough both now and into the future.
In order to lead the delivery of excellent front-line services, the Council is seeking to recruit an experienced manager who will be responsible for the leadership and management of the Climate, Sustainability & Parks Department, delivering on a significant service delivery improvement programme to enhance the customer experience.
The Head of Climate, Sustainability & Parks will advance the Council's climate, sustainable development and biodiversity agenda, providing a strategic vision to create and coalesce internal and external stakeholders around a climate change plan.
The role holder will also lead a large team managing all the outdoor parks and open spaces in the Borough, including Lurgan Park, the second largest urban park in Ireland, Gosford Park, Kinnego Marina, golf courses and a ski slope. Providing operational oversight of all services to maintain and support these assets for the benefit of the public.
This is adynamic and multifacetedrole for an experienced professional who had the ability to function at both a strategic and operational level and ispassionate about delivering high quality public services.
