We have an exciting opportunity for a Communications Officer to join our team to support the Executive Director of People and Programmes in delivering and implementing our communications strategy.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and helping to deliver our external and internal communication, including social media, content creation, and engagement
- Working alongside the Executive team to support our campaigns for internal and external audiences
- Website and intranet management
- Working with the media
- Helping us manage our brand
- Line-management responsibility for a Digital Marketing Apprentice, ensuring adequate coaching and support
Please note: an Enhanced disclosure and barring service check is a requirement for this role. This would be completed on appointment of the role.
What we are looking for:
- Experience of using design software such as Photoshop/Canva to create graphics, leaflets, videos and gifs
- Experience of using social media management platforms, i.e Hootsuite and Meta Business Suite
- Experience of Google Analytics and the ability to measure and adapt UX
- Experience with email marketing platforms (MailChimp ideally) and creation and distribution of newsletters and emails
- Experience with WordPress (website) and SharePoint (intranet)
- Experience of communications, public relations and marketing
- Ability to interpret communications and marketing data into actionable insights
- Competent in the use of Microsoft office products
- Experience of creating communications plans and strategy
