Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our dynamic team in Dudley. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional looking to contribute to our company's financial health and grow within the organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Credit Management: Manage and monitor customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.
- Debt Recovery: Proactively contact clients via phone, email, and letters to chase overdue payments and resolve any issues preventing payment.
- Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile customer accounts, resolving any discrepancies or disputes efficiently.
- Credit Analysis: Assess and analyse the creditworthiness of new and existing customers, setting appropriate credit limits.
- Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate records of all collection activities, providing regular reports to management on the status of outstanding debts.
- Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing any queries regarding their accounts promptly and professionally.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to the credit control process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Compliance: Ensure all credit control activities comply with company policies and relevant legislation.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a credit control.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations with tact and diplomacy.
- Organisation: Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software is advantageous.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to resolve issues and disputes promptly and efficiently.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
