Join a dedicated team as a Team Leader, where you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations of a residential home, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards. This position is ideal for someone committed to creating a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for young people.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Lead and plan shifts, demonstrating professional practice while supporting and developing staff.
  • Ensure effective communication during handovers and maintain rigorous adherence to safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
  • Keep meticulous records in line with our policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the individual needs of young people are met, closely following their care plans and risk assessments.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, stimulating, and homely environment for the young people.
  • Develop and sustain professional relationships with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Advocate for young people at professional meetings.
  • Cater to the specific needs of young people, including dietary, religious, and cultural considerations.
  • Conduct internal audits as directed by management to ensure compliance and practice development.
  • Lead team meetings and contribute to training initiatives.
  • Comply with all regulatory standards and stay updated with professional training and development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in an Ofsted-regulated Residential Children's Home.
  • At least one year of experience supervising Residential Child Care Workers (RCCWs).
  • Must possess the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Children's Care and be willing to undertake the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management.
  • Ability to undertake at least one sleep-in shift per week and some late shifts starting from 14:00.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to professional development and compliance with regulatory standards.
