Our client is a well-established and highly regarded SEN school in Exeter, committed to providing exceptional education and care to students with a range of special needs, including speech, language and communication difficulties, autism, aspergers, SpLD, MLD and other needs. Supporting over 100 students, they pride themselves on their inclusive approach and their dedication to creating a safe, engaging and inspiring learning environment.

About the role:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons that are tailored to the individual needs of students with SEN
  • Assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of your students
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feel valued and supported
  • Work closely with support staff, parents and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students
  • Act as an excellent role model
  • Make full use of professional development opportunities

Who we are looking for:

  • Qualified teacher or have other relevant teaching experience
  • Experience in working with and inspiring students with SEN is essential
  • Must be passionate about helping students who find things difficult
  • Flexible, positive, proactive and a 'can do' attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work well as part of a cohesive team
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum, particularly at secondary level
