MacKenzie King are working with a successful business, based in Ipswich, who are leaders in their industry. Our client is looking for a confident Credit Controller to join their team for 12 months to cover a period of maternity leave. The successful candidate will join a supportive team of seasoned credit specialists dealing with high volume, high value clients to reduce aged debt and manage risk.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Daily monitoring of all accounts
- Build and maintain customer relationships
- Chase customers via phone and email to finalise credit terms
- Ensure collections are in line with HQ requirements
- Reconciliation of all accounts
- Proactively chase debt and escalate accounts when necessary
- Allocate cash in a timely and accurate manner
- Support the team with daily administration tasks
- Work collaboratively across the business, working with key Stakeholders
- Proactively work across the business with Customer Service, Commercial and Sales bringing relevant data to drive improvements
Key Skills & Attributes:
- Experience in a similar Credit Control role (shipping/haulage experience advantageous)
- Team player, but also self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative
- Well organised with a thorough and detail orientated approach to tasks.
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Ability to be dynamic, adjusting to the needs of the department
- Ability to recognise potential problems quickly and to implement solutions
- Conscientious and dynamic decision making
- Ability to build good relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Good Microsoft Office 365 skills
