Systems Accounting Lead

Our client, a prestigious professional membership body, is looking for an experienced Systems Accounting Lead to provide expertise during the organisation's transition from Open Accounts systems to Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations, designing a system that delivers the reporting structures and controls required by a trade union and charity.

Key Responsibilities of the Systems Accounting Lead:

  • Act as the Lead in developing and implementing new end-to-end finance processes for the group of entities, delivering a robust internal control environment in compliance with audit requirements.
  • Support the Finance team and Project team in the development of new processes, including internal control framework and chart of account, for a Dynamics 365 environment.
  • Employ your Power BI skills to work closely with the third-party Project team to develop a suite of financial reports and dashboards that address all finance areas.
  • Work with Finance colleagues to test the new system, providing test scripts where needed.
  • Contribute to the business-as-usual finance work during implementation of the new system.
  • Provide training to the Finance team on Dynamics 365 functionality.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Qualification as an Accountant (CCAB-recognised).
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, including experience of implementing system for a group of companies.
  • Detailed knowledge of all finance functional areas.
  • Advanced Excel skills and highly analytical, with the ability to present complex financial information in non-technical language.

Salary and Benefits:

  • c£72,000 per annum.
  • Full-time, 15-month fixed-term contract.
  • Hybrid working pattern, office in Central London with provision for remote working.
