Our client is a well-established and innovative City firm, with a client base ranging from entrepreneurs and start-ups to well-established household brands and multinational companies drawn from financial services, technology, and professional services sectors.
The firm boasts a very highly regarded team focused on offering regulatory and commercial advice to the travel industry. They act for many of the largest and best-known travel companies in the world, with a particular focus on tech-enabled travel companies such as booking platforms and online travel agents.
The team prides themselves on their deep industry knowledge and understanding, which enables them to provide clients with advice which is always commercial, up-to-date, and pragmatic. They have significant experience in assisting clients enter new markets, or introducing new products to old markets, and enabling clients from varying different sectors to launch or expand their travel businesses domestically and internationally. They enable their clients to structure their businesses efficiently and negotiate the many different sorts of commercial and consumer contracts affecting the industry. The team also represents their clients in travel-related disputes, including in response to investigations and proceedings by regulators and industry trade associations.
The team is now looking for a Lawyer to assist in advising this loyal client base on a range of commercial and regulatory matters.
In order to be considered for this position you do not need to have any travel-industry specific experience; rather you will be a commercial/regulatory lawyer with:
- A strong academic background.
- Training and most likely 2-5 years' PQE gained from a City, International, or high quality regional firm.
- Excellent drafting skills.
- A common sense, down-to-earth approach.
- Commerciality, and the ability to work in a sometimes fast-paced, intellectually challenging environment.
- The ability to deal with clients and colleagues in a relaxed and confident manner.
