If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! As a Housing Options Officer, you will play a vital role in providing support to individuals facing housing challenges and ensuring they have access to safe and secure accommodation. 3 month contract with the view to extend and it is paying between £15.43 - £17.76

  • Make a meaningful impact: Work collaboratively with our team to address the housing needs of our community, providing expert guidance and support to those in crisis.
  • Empower others: Conduct thorough assessments of clients' housing needs and circumstances, and assist in developing tailored housing plans to improve their living situations.
  • Be a catalyst for change: Engage with diverse stakeholders, including local authorities and housing providers, to advocate for sustainable housing solutions and support the development of housing policies.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar housing advisory role, with a focus on supporting individuals experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathetically engage with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of housing legislation, policies, and local authority procedures.
  • Capacity to conduct comprehensive housing assessments and provide advice on housing options and homelessness prevention strategies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing a diverse caseload with accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualification in housing management, social work, or a related field.
  • Understanding of the complexities of housing issues and strategies to address homelessness in the community.
  • Experience working within local government or housing support agencies.
