Gas & Electricity Settlements Analyst (energy / utilities)

Our client is a B2B Energy Supplier and they are seeking a Gas and Electricity Analyst to join their growing team. As the Gas and Electricity Settlement Analyst you will be monitoring their portfolio of both gas and electricity Settlements, identify trends and potential risks. If you are analytical, have Energy Settlements experience with good knowledge of Gas Industry flows and / or electricity flows including D0095 and D0235 Exception Resolutions, Apply Today!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage industry settlement performance.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of industry flows across gas/electricity supply.
  • Investigate and resolve settlement exceptions promptly.
  • Help develop accurate forecasts for settlement volumes.
  • Consistently monitor Settlement portfolios, identifying trends and potential risks.
  • Proactively address any discrepancies or anomalies and reduce imbalance exposure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any settlement queries and issues
  • Proactively manage suppliers and other industry parties to ensure portfolio data accurate.

Key skills and experience required:

  • 3 years of experience in Gas/Electricity Settlement functions is essential.
  • Familiarity with back-office operations in an energy supplier context.
  • Proficiency in handling settlement performance
  • Good understanding of industry flows, including gas supply.
  • Good Knowledge of D0095 and D0235 exception resolution.
  • Proactive in identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Comfortable with data analysis and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of MWHHS and its impact on settlements would be beneficial
