Interim Finance Director
12-Month on Day-Rate or Fixed Term Contract

Our client, an SME-sized Professional Services company, is seeking a strategic Interim Finance Director for a 12-month period. This role can be either a fixed-term contract or on a day-rate basis (inside IR35).
The successful candidate will lead a comprehensive review of the Finance team's structure and processes whilst providing overall financial management and reporting support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with SLT and key Finance team members to initially assess the current finance team structure and processes, develop a detailed project plan for transformation required, followed by executing of the project plan
- Mentor and develop Finance team members, assessing their skills and creating plans for their growth
- Lead financial performance analysis and reporting to support the Senior Leadership Team in achieving the business plan.
- Provide financial insights and guidance on all business activities, targets, and strategic drivers.
- Oversee year-end accounts and financial audits, liaising with auditors, managing the audit process and presenting final accounts.
- Manage cash flow and treasury
- Ensure robust management reporting, consolidated accounts, and stewardship of client funds.
- Monitor and ensure budget compliance across groups and support teams.
- Maintain compliance with FCA requirements.
- Perform detailed financial tasks as needed.
Candidate Profile:
- Qualifications: CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualified
- Skills: Exceptional relationship management and business partnering abilities, capable of driving operational improvements to enhance efficiency and growth.
- Experience: A proven track record in leading a Finance function as an FD or Head of Finance. Demonstrated success in reviewing teams, processes and systems plus driving significant change, transformation and business performance improvements.
- Attributes: Strong communication and presentation skills, integrity, and a commitment to good governance. A passion for excellence and innovation in business growth is essential.
