My client are seeking a skilled Painter to join their team, providing a professional and customer-oriented service. The successful candidate will work on a variety of properties, focusing on kitchen and bathroom painting. Multi-skilled individuals with additional trade skills will have an advantage.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Preparation of substrates, including removing loose and flaking paint by all current methods.
  • Applying coatings by brush, roller, or spray applications.
  • Ensuring safe use and application of materials.
  • Working both internally and externally on properties.
  • Setting out, lining, and hanging wallpaper and decorative hangings.
  • Maintaining vehicle stock levels to ensure service efficiency.
  • Submitting all worksheets and documents relating to jobs within required timescales.
  • Adopting a customer-focused approach in all aspects of the service.
  • Maintaining Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and using it appropriately.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a customer-focused environment.
  • Familiarity with hand-held technology is desirable.
  • Level 3 Construction Diploma in Painting & Decorating, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds advanced, or equivalent qualification.
  • Apprentice trained is desirable.
  • Basic IT training is desirable.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to building works.
  • Understanding of building regulations related to internal and external painting, decorating, treatments, and coatings.
  • Multi-skilled in another trade area is desirable.
