Test Lead

Essential

  • Extensive knowledge of software testing methodologies, including both manual and automated testing techniques.
  • Proven experience in conducting both functional and non-functional testing, including performance, security, APIs, and usability testing.
  • Excellent understanding of software development lifecycles and testing methodologies (Agile & Waterfall).
  • Experience in creating comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts across complex integrated systems to ensure thorough test coverage.
  • Extensive experience of defect management, tracking, reporting and management of defects.
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior test analysts, providing guidance and support throughout the testing process.
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard testing tools, such as Azure Dev Ops Test Plans
  • Solid understanding of database concepts and SQL, with the ability to write and execute SQL queries for data validation.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams, including engineers, business analysts, project managers and product owners.

Desirable

  • Prior experience in leading and mentoring junior test analysts.
  • Experience in mobile application testing including testing on different devices and platforms.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies, and experience in integrating testing activities within these frameworks.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices and how testing can be effectively integrated into these processes.
