Who you'll be working for: Our client, a major FTSE100 business, who have fantastic offices in west London are looking for a Senior Procurement Manager UK based for Capital Construction.

What you'll be doing each day:

As a Senior Manager, Procurement - Capital Construction, you will lead creation, execution, and management of comprehensive integrated category strategies for Capital Investment Projects across UK and US regions. You will be also the global category lead for Project Management and Project Controls category.

Procurement Manager UK - Key Responsibilities:

  • Global category lead for UK and US Procurement Capital Strategy designed to ensure that company's capital projects deliver value to the business. Other regions could be supported according to Capex plan needs and business priorities.
  • Global category lead for Project Management and Project Controls category.
  • Define and implement the Contracting and Procurement Strategy to support Capex projects in the region.
  • Define and implement Project Management and Project Controls Strategy.
  • Ensure Procurement resources are aligned with company's programs and strategic projects.
  • Ensure proper sourcing and contract management by Third Parties as per company's Procurement process.
  • Conduct complex negotiations for global categories and assigned portfolios to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Deliver quality, compliant, timely, well-specified agreements to generate a clear return on investment for the company.
  • Define and lead robust SRM program with key suppliers including contract performance and governance.
  • Benchmark externally to ensure company practices and strategies are aligned with current market practices.
  • Build strong internal collaboration & sponsorship with senior stakeholders to deliver the ambition.
  • Collaborate within team and key stakeholders to deploy strategies globally/regionally, facilitated by robust implementation and transition plans.
  • Generate value in terms of quality, delivery, and cost; contribute significantly to organization's goals and objectives.
  • Manage and reduce a pool of suppliers worldwide through preferred supplier usage.
  • Build and manage a team external contingent worker.

Procurement Manager UK - The skills you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Business, Finance, Engineering.
  • Strong Procurement Experience with large multi-national corporations across multiple regions focus on Capital Construction Categories.
  • Must have an excellent knowledge of Capital construction projects procurement, ideally in context of manufacturing building, ideally focused on the UK and US markets.
  • Experience with market drivers effecting category and of the latest tools for executing sourcing strategies (Ariba, etc.) .
  • Ability to managing categories: developing & implementing strategies, stakeholder management and supplier relationship management.
  • Experience negotiating with both external suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Navigation of complex organizations with multiple, diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment with a flexible approach to meet stakeholders needs.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks across multiple projects using project management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks across multiple projects using project management skills.
  • Ability to provide effective procurement management in complex organizations using technical expertise and analytical skills.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication/presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills & leadership capability to manage people and processes.
