IT Support Engineer (Network Specialist)
Location: Cardiff Central Hybrid Working - 3 days in office
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 + Bonuses + Benefits
CPS Group is excited to partner with a leading International Consultancy in search of an IT Support Engineer to be based out of the Central Cardiff office.
The IT Support Engineer will in time specialise in Network Support. You will provide technical support and troubleshooting for network issues, ensure network security and handle 1st line duties, including laptop builds and end-user support, hands-on experience with network administration and security management.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to progress their career in Networking and Security progressing towards a fully certified Network Engineer over time.
This role will provide the opportunity for occasional international travel from time to time visiting other sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical support providing 1st and 2nd level support for Network related issues
- Network Administration
- Monitoring and maintaining Network Infrastructure
- Configuring and managing firewalls, switches, routers
- Security Management
- 1st Line Support - build, configure and deploy laptops, provide end-user support for hardware / software.
- Documentation and reporting
Experience:
- Previous experience within a similar IT Support role ideally with Network Support experience
- Experience with Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager) would be an advantage but not essential.
- Strong technical skills in IT hardware and software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and strong troubleshooting abilities.
