EUROPEAN DISTRIBUTOR MANAGER (MEDICAL DEVICES)

HYBRID WITH EXTENSIVE INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL

£70,000

Our global client, who manufactures medical devices, are looking for a European Distributor Manager to join their team. You will be responsible for leading the development and growth of the portfolio within Europe, an area of significant potential for the business. The role requires fortnightly travel to the Midlands office, and extensive international travel (50% of the time).

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a European Distributor Manager your key duties will include:

  • Delivering the annual sales and GP budget.
  • Increasing market share across the full portfolio, through the management of existing distributors and finding new distributors in the region, agreeing business plans, contracts and onboarding.
  • Managing existing distributors against sales and budget plans.
  • Tracking and reporting on the new and existing evaluation and tenders in the region both internally via reporting and externally by engaging with the distributors.
  • Tracking and reporting on new business wins against budget requirements
  • Ensuring contract compliance across all regions.
  • Identifying and attending key regional events for the promotion and lead generation of products.
  • Regularly visiting distributors, conducting commercial reviews and facilitating product training through hospital field work with their sales teams.
  • Presenting to the Senior Management Team on the current market performance and upcoming opportunities.
  • Working with the clinical team to identify and implement training requirements across the portfolio on a quarterly basis.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

To be considered for the role of European Distributor Manager, you must have:

  • Proven international experience in Medical Devices sales.
  • Demonstrable experience in distributor management, including experience dealing with medical devices.
  • The ability to proactively monitor the current market, analysing sales and tender gaps
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to thrive both independently and as part of a team
  • Great organisational, problem solving and time-management skills
  • The ability to travel internationally
  • A full, clean driving licence
