In short: We need a Test and Release Manager to manage the testing activities (hardware components initially) for a new Data Centre build. You'll be writing scripts, co-ordinating tests, defect management and reporting back on findings all within a DevOps environment.

In full:

We're looking to build a new dynamic, scalable, software-defined and automated solution that will enable managed networks and boundary controls within the bank data centres.
We're embarking on a bold redesign of the current network incorporating features that allow it to be better automated, easier to manage, secure and centred around applications and application flows.

Our Data Centre team is a part of the bank networks journey to a more flexible and automated network.
In order to deliver securely and at pace we're redefining the delivery and operational capabilities of the team, based on DevOps principals and technologies.

And this Technical role will be pivotal in growing, integrating and optimising our toolsets for the future.

The role needs someone with a can-do mindset, someone willing to learn new skills on the job and who relishes a challenge.

You'll be able to look at the big picture to enable the team to take the Software Defined Data Centre idea from a proof of concept through to a fully integrated and managed service within the bank.

Skills, experiences, and knowledge:

  • Support the creation of the test plans
  • Co-ordination of the test execution
  • Track / triage and report any defects, escalation where needed.
  • Support Ready for Service Activities including new Change and RTL process via infradev.

Nice to see:

  • Hands on experience deploying, operating, and automating test plans
  • Experience of infrastructure as code and CI/CD
  • Software defined and application-centric networking

Other useful skills could include:

  • An understanding of modern networking testing components
  • JIRA/Confluence, ServiceNow - Incident, Change and Problem Management

Candidates will ideally show evidence of the above in their CV in order to be considered.
