Job Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge
- Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and moulding
- Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes
- Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws
- Join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives
- Follow health and safety standards and comply with building codes
Required Qualifications:
- CSCS card
- Demonstrable experience as a Carpenter
- Knowledge of carpentry techniques and tools
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Carpenter
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and precision
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Working Conditions:
Work will primarily be on construction sites, requiring physical stamina and the ability to work at heights. May involve working outdoors in various weather conditions.
