Requirements:

  • At least a 2:1 bachelor's degree in education, or a related field.
  • Genuine passion for the learning of young pupils.
  • A natural ability to build strong bonds with young learners.
  • Commitment to following safeguarding procedures.
  • Previous experience of working with children, or in a school setting is preferable.

The Role

As a KS1 Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will provide 1-2-1 and small group interventions to raise the progression levels of learners as they embark on their first steps of their education journey. You will work in close collaboration with teaching staff to create a positive learning environment and adapt learning materials to suit the individual needs of each pupil. It is essential that you build strong bonds with pupils and staff and to achieve this, you will assist in leading extra-curricular activities.
