Children's Social Worker
based in the Birmingham Area.

Full Time – (flexible where needed)
Pay Rate:
£30.57 - £33.30 per hour
Location:
Hybrid working / based in the Birmingham area
Essential Criteria:
- Enhanced DBS – Children's and Adult's– Update Service
- Must have clean driver's license with access to own vehicle
- Understand relevant legislation in Children's Act
- Recent experience surrounding areas of CIN, CP through to court, LAC, Family Safeguarding, Early Years and Duty and Assessment
Main Responsibilities of Children's Social Worker:
- Manage an allocated social work caseload relating to children, young people, and families
- Undertake assessments in accordance with legislation, policies, and procedures; with consideration to both the Framework for Assessment and risk to inform analysis and plans
- Identify children in need who may also need protection and effectively safeguard them
- Assess the needs of children and young people and determine an appropriate level of intervention and service provision, including packages of support for families
- Making recommendations or referrals to other services or agencies
- Ensure the needs and wishes of children are fully addressed in the assessment and planning process and that there is evidence of children and young people's participation
- Create and maintain accurate case files and records
- Liaise, and to work jointly, with colleagues and staff from other agencies and liaise with other agencies on behalf of existing service users.
- Any other duties and responsibilities within the range of the salary grade.
