Ageas' claims department is the beating heart of an insurance company, when our customers need us, we're there for them in their time of need. In the UK, it's the law that you have to have motor insurance in order to drive on the road. No one takes out these policies in the hope or expectation of being involved in a crash, but accidents do happen and often it can be an extremely distressing situation. Our role from the moment we're called upon by our customers is to make the process as pain free as possible, providing them with help and support, ensuring their claims are handled accurately and efficiently. The goal of the motor claims department is to control our claims costs, while providing excellent customer service. In achieving this goal, we can competitively price our products, meaning we feature on the big price comparison websites and attract more customers. With motor insurance being such a fiercely competitive market, this is no mean feat. We have many teams and departments working & collaborating together to constantly improve and optimise:

- Our processes and strategies - Our technical ability to handle complex claims, these can include high value vehicles, serious and catastrophic injury - Our ability to collate, analyse and weaponise data to our advantage - Our commercial savviness to leverage the best deals and manage relationships with suppliers and competitors - Our capacity to detect and fight fraudulent claims - Our capability to offer a modern and digital offering to our customers
