Sign Installation Manager

Job brief

We are seeking an experienced Installation manager to oversee daily activities. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and proven success in managing multiple installation teams. The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction to the installation crews.Ensure company procedures, policies and standards are adhered to. You will be responsible for efficiently building and installing signs and products for various customers. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, professionalism and punctuality.

Responsibilities

  • Managing installation department & teams daily
  • Scheduling of work to the installation teams on the BOSS system
  • Briefing fitters (inclusive of subcontractors) in conjunction with the PMs of works required
  • General liaising with PMs regarding installations
  • Liaising with maintenance daily for assistance with call outs
  • General liaising with production / production coordinator regarding job product updates
  • Arrange deliveries / collections for the business in conjunction with production
  • Ensuring installation reports (inclusive of subcontractors) are returned and are thorough including full fixing detail / methodology (aiding future digitization of handover reports)
  • Recruitment of installers for the business, conducting interviews etc.
  • Carrying out disciplinaries/toolbox talks/appraisals etc.
  • Appraisals to be conducted at an agreed frequency with the business
  • Sourcing and communicating with subcontractors for installation works
  • Pre-agreement of job costs with sub-contractors
  • Agreement of bare minimum van stocks with sub-contractors before on boarding
  • Assisting with H&S for installations, liaising and working in conjunction with the H&S Manager
  • Collating, filing, and assessing all subcontractor training documents and company details
  • SHARED - OOH phone calls for on-site issues
  • SHARED - on site spot checks of crews (mix direct crews/subcontractors) in conjunction with H&S Manager.
  • General liaising daily with production regarding job product updates & completion for loading to site
  • Collate product from departments so it is all in one place for the teams to load

Requirements

  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Market knowledge
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build rapport
  • Time management and planning skills
  • Prior experience in the sign industry or Construction is preferred
