SANZA Teaching Agency are currently recruiting on behalf of an inviting, vibrant 2-form entry primary school in Ealing. They are looking for a strong and experienced Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher and Phase Leader to join the team from January 2025!

As an Early Years Foundation Stage Teacher and Phase Leader, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading, managing and developing the EYFS Phase
  • Ensuring the action plans for the EYFS Phase are reviewed on an termly basis with specific numerical targets contributing to the School Development Plan.
  • To lead, manage and develop an inspiring and practical EYFS curriculum for all pupils throughout the school.
  • Deliver and organise staff INSET in EYFS, which impacts on raising achievement and leads to accelerated progress.
  • Monitor the planning for both Reception and Nursery to ensure that it is relevant to the needs and abilities of all pupils.
  • Monitor the progress of all pupils within the Phase and support and challenge staff to narrow the gap
  • Monitor the standards of teaching and learning through classroom observation.
  • Motivate staff by personal influence, enthusiasm and excellent practice, raising the profile of maths through enrichment activities.
  • Manage a budget for EYFS and prioritise the expenditure according to the needs of the school.

Leadership responsibilities

  • To be proactive EYFS Phase Leader, meeting regularly with the SMT to discuss strategic actions for Phase Leadership across the school.
  • To support actively and implement all agreed school policies whilst carrying out the normal course of teaching duties including the induction of new staff on Child Protection
  • Inform parents of current initiatives and practice throughout the school by means of letter, website, curriculum meetings and workshops.
  • Update Governors of developments within the Phase; speak at GB meetings and committees.
  • Attend LA Network Meetings and seek advice from other relevant training organisations.
