The Just Recruitment Group Ltd is currently recruiting for an Electro Mechanical Design Engineer for a manufacturer based in Sudbury, Suffolk.
The role will involve the design and detailing of various electromechanical projects within the department, providing timely and cost effective solutions for both internal and customer generated specifications. Projects range from simple jig & tool requirements through to automated test & manufacture equipment.
Duties will include
- Work alongside Projects and Design Engineers to ensure product specification compliance.
- Liaise effectively with other designers, engineers, quality, and production engineers on all
relevant aspects of each project, ensuring that successful and profitable production takes
place.
- Be able to reverse engineer existing tooling to allow collation of design data.
- Produce detailed drawing sets to the correct commercial, aerospace and military standards.
- Control and issue design schemes, manufacturing drawings and all other necessary technical
documentation in line with all relevant Quality procedures.
- Plan, organise and accurately monitor workload to meet strict deadlines.
- Maintain a fully traceable technical file for each project.
Essential experience
- 3D CAD Skills must include SolidWorks.
- Exceptional computer literacy, with enhanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages.
- Formal engineering background, preferably with electro-mechanical bias.
- A minimum of 5 years relevant industrial experience.
- Recognised engineering apprenticeship and / or college ONC/HNC/HND/ or university
qualification.
- Capable of creating complete drawing packs, bills of materials, test certificates, and CE and ATEX assessment documentation.
