  • MTrec are currently recruiting for a well-established manufacturing firm based in the South Tyneside area.

The Job You'll Do;

  • Collaborates across Design Engineering, Production Engineering, and Quality teams to create robust process procedures and standardised process control operations.
  • Takes responsibility for assembling and testing complete product range, following applicable drawings, bill of materials (BOMs), standard operating procedures (SOPs), general procedures (GPs), and internal test procedures (ITPs).
  • Takes responsibility for ensuring the quality and cleanliness of components before product assembly and testing.
  • Proactively maintains and ensures cleanliness of test rigs, with specific attention to fluid filtration to meet the cleanliness standards outlined in the test specification.
  • Works closely with Development Engineers to ensure tests are completed in accordance with the test specification.
  • Actively contributes to creating and periodically reviewing risk assessments.
  • Proactively creates point of work risk assessments for new test set-ups.
  • Collaborates with the Engineering Team to assess product designs based on testing results.
  • Proactively focuses on self-development, establishing a strong foundation in hydraulic, mechanical, and equipment knowledge.
  • Participates in After Action Reviews (lessons learned) and implements any necessary actions.
  • Takes responsibility for creating and actively maintaining Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) activities and logs.
  • Proactively identifies equipment requiring calibration within the assembly and test area.
  • Assist in coordinating and implementing quality and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Flexible to engage in shift work as needed, including night shifts, and willing to adhere to a rotating schedule when required. Demonstrates adaptability to meet the dynamic demands of the role.

About You;

  • An individual focussed on creative problem solving and achieving high quality standards. Confident in using a range of tools and equipment in an assembly and test environment.
  • Confident in working collaboratively to consistently improve on company targets. Works effectively as part of a team but also be motivated and focussed when working alone.
  • Ability to read & interpret Engineering Drawings & Technical Specifications, specifically to determine Quality / Testing / Processing Requirements.
  • Experience gained in an engineering/manufacturing background.
  • Awareness of a range of manufacturing processes
  • Experience in product assembly and testing procedures.
  • Understanding of hydraulics, including component identification and usage
  • Ability in communicating effectively with key stakeholders at all levels within the organisation.
  • Confident is using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to create reports and visuals to aid feedback to key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Health Safety and Environmental principles, including IOSH.
  • Level 3 NVQ in Manufacturing or relevant Engineering industry experience.
